For construction project owners and general contractors seeking a diverse talent pool but struggling to find the right fit, Contractors Assistance Association (CAA) can be a valuable resource.
“An average of $2 billion is spent annually in Northeast Ohio,” says Glen Shumate, executive director vice president of Construction Employers Association (CEA). “At 10-15%, that’s about $200 million to $300 million annually for minority contractors. Diverse contractors and CAA members are stepping up to it.”
On most major projects in Northeast Ohio that have diverse contractor participation, a CAA member is likely involved, Shumate notes.
