With an aging workforce, diversification of the regional economy and the educational system's focus on college paths, there is a growing skills shortage in Northeast Ohio's construction and building trades industry. Consequently, these factors threaten Greater Cleveland's economic growth and prosperity by hindering employers who need motivated, skilled tradespersons.

Women in Construction week has come and gone, but the impact of the content provided is sure to last for some time. 

National Women in Construction (NAWIC) Cleveland Chapter #156, in conjunction with Construction Employers Association and Contractors Assistance Association kicked off Women in Construction (WIC) week on March 6 with a social media campaign highlighting women in Cleveland’s construction industry. Women from a range of career backgrounds and Northeast Ohio organizations were featured.
