The Ohio General Assembly returned to Columbus to work on passing a number of bills, none more important than the state budget which must be enacted prior to July 1st. The current version of the Transportation Budget bill (House Bill 74) being considered by the Senate was recently amended to include dramatic changes to the force account limits for local governments. The changes include:

The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) required employers with fewer than 500 employees to provide paid sick and family leave to employees during the period of April 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020. Covered employers who provided paid leave were 100% reimbursed through a payroll tax credit mechanism, which has been extended through March 31, 2021.
